We carved this rather large pumpkin with a jig saw. It worked really well. The small pumpkin served as our dinner in a pumpkin. This year we had over a hundred cute little trick or treaters.
There's nothing better than carving pumpkins with power tools. I hear it is possible to carve one with an air compressor, but you have to have the right tip. Maybe I will try it next year. :)
I'm glad you had such a fun weekend. Tate's class was given a huge (over 3ft tall) pumpkin. He said the dad carved it with a chainsaw, but I think he meant jig saw.
He might have meant the chain saw. Our jig saw didn't go all the way through our pumpkin. We had to finish with a knife. Wow, a three foot tall pumpkin must have been very heavy!

Love the owl pumpkin. I am glad you had a great weekend. How are your laurels?
