The Backyard Swing

Actually, this is pretty fun. There is nothing like a swing that is a high one. It has a different feel than the small ones, smooth and it goes really high.

Water is a favorite

Dave turned on the hose to give the kids and flowers a drink. In the 95 degree day, every one enjoyed the water - plants and kids.

Angie and Lynn Came By

Angie and Lynn came by on their way to Yellowstone on Saturday. It was great to see them. This was Lynn's first time here. They checked out our new growing strawberries and crab apple trees. Emmie found an apple and Cody and Alexus found some strawberries.

Dave's New Project

Dave and Lynn putting up the 8 foot top on our new swing. Dave buried the poles four feet in the ground and they are twelve feet in the air. A swing will soon be going for the grandkids to play on when they come to visit. Thanks for the help Lynn.

Farmer's Market

On Saturdays there is a Farmer's Market in Old Town Pocatello. We love to go there and look around listen to music and enjoy the morning. Megan, Addy, and Laurie went with us. Megan is standing by the Stop sign. Laurie and Addy are over under the blue tarp on the left side. We bought rolls, flowers, veggie plants and fresh tomatoes. They have some really good deals and fresh produce.

Hiedi and Ren Visit

Dave, Ren, Max and Alexis got up early on Friday Morning and went fishing at Mackey. They had their limit by noon and Alexis got the first fish with Max coming in second. All the fish were rainbows with one cutthroat. We had a wonderful fish dinner.
Hiedi had a fun time shopping in Pocatello. She says it is better because there are actually sale items on the shelves to choose from. I had a good time holding little Jack and watching Olivia. I was in charge of a funeral dinner for a lady in my ward, also she is one that I have been visiting teaching for the past year+. It was on Saturday and the food was brought in on Friday and Saturday morning. It was a busy weekend. On Father's Day we just attended church and finished our Family History Classwork. We watched the playoffs and were not too pleased with the Laker's win.

Picnic with Angie and Mike

Alexus looked cute sitting on Mike's couch. The picnic was interesting. We were just settled into eating when another group came and said they had reserved the pavillion. We moved over to Mike's backyard and it started to rain. The kids didn't care. They were with cousins and having a great time.

Worthington Reunion Pictures

Norm had his brother's motorcycle and gave rides. (You look pretty good on a motorcycle, Norm.)

More Worthington Reunion Pictures

We went to the Worthington Reunion in Stansbury Park on Saturday. Dave's Mom was a Worthington. His Aunt Rowena is celebrating her 90th birthday.

Backyard Birds

The top one is a spring male Bullock's Oriole. The next is the female. They enjoy the hummingbird nectar. The third picture is my favorite the American Goldfinch. The last picture is a new bird to by backyard this year, a Lazuli Bunting.
It has been fun to see all the colors together. They take the place of the flowers that are a little slow because of the cooler weather.
I do have some hummingbirds, but haven't caught them with my camera.

Jack's Baby Blessing

Hiedi and Ren blessed their fourth child on Sunday. We had a great visit with everyone at the park after church. Jack was a wonderful baby. He stayed on my lap through church and didn't make a peep. He is a beautiful baby.

Fishing at Mackey Reservoir

Dave and I went fishing at Mackey on Saturday and it was really a beautiful day. The water is up and the day was cool and it is always a very pretty area. It is in a high mountain valley. I have my mouth open because the fish started to wiggle and was hard to hold. We brought home 5 nice size trout for dinner. I have a really good recipe for cooking them if anyone is interested.

Hi Family and Friends,

This is my first posting and I am not sure what I am doing. I love your blogs and hope this will be good for everyone and me.
