Well, we wanted a cabin and a few weeks ago we had the opportunity to buy one or at least a small home in a small mining town. While we were fishing a guy told us of a place for sale by owner by his summer home. We looked at it and it had a lot of possibilities. We were able to get the paper work done and close today. It has four bedrooms and 2 baths. The upstairs is all bedrooms with a bath. The main floor has one bedroom, livingroom, kitchen, and familyroom with a laundry and bath. The basement has the utilities and storage. Mackey is a place that we love to go. It is a small town of 500 and most of the residents are summer onlys. The mountian nearby has two ghost towns and old mines with lots of lakes. The city has a golf course, store, museum, park, movie theater and large LDS church. Mackey reservoir always has fish. We need to do some work on the home and add a few toys like: 4 wheelers and a small boat. Family, we hope you will all enjoy taking a vacation there. Those of you who have been there fishing know how quaint it is and the nice feeling to the area.

Ahhh! So this was the big suprise. Congrats on the new purchase. Hope you enjoy it!
I am so happy for you both. You will have lots of fun in Mackay and we look forward to seeing it.
I can't believe that I spelled the city wrong or maybe I can. Thanks, Julie for correcting me. It is spelled Mackay, but pronounced Mackey.
Mom - Congratulations on the new place. Not sure the local folks would enjoy being called quaint, but then again maybe the Mackay folks would. Looks like fun.
Hey Mom,
That is a really nice place. I bet you bought it because the red roof on the garage reminds Dave of the barn in Kansas. It looks like a lot of fun! We'll swing up and take a look at it.
Nathan,
I thought the same thing, when I saw the roof. I hope you will come and stay for awhile, when it gets a little more fixed up inside.
Oh ya, I was going to ask if the new place really leans to the left?
:)
That looks awesome! We would love to go see it!
Chad,
The new place doesn't lean to the left, but the photographer sure does : )
I need some more lessons on editing pictures.
Looks nice, mom!
No, I didn't notice the red roof until it was pointed out. I'll leave that to your one non-colorblind son to point out.
So when are we going there, huh huh huh?
So is this the kind of place where we all park on the front lawn? That's what happens in small towns, isn't it? just kidding. It looks very cute.
Oh man, if we're parking on the lawn I'll be sure to ride my motorcycle up. (hee hee) I'll just strap my children on the back.
